We have most of the alfalfa mowed & are going to start chopping tonight! The put the alfalfa into large agribags to become haylidge. This is usually sold to dairies.
I'll try & get some pictures later.

We started mowing last night, the chopper is fueling up right now....hard to believe with as much snow and rain as we have had this last few months that first crop is already on the ground!! Hope your chopping crew stays safe this season Red!  We rolled one truck last year, but no one was injured! The girls here are ready for some good, high quality first crop haylage to get into the ration! The BOYS are chomping at the bit ready to ROLL !!!! You know how that goes...the BOYS and their TOYS (clapping) (clapping)

Good luck to you guys too Carrie!

I got a picture of the mower. It's not ours so don't know a lot about it.

Will get some more later when they start merging & the actual chopping.

Unfortunately the "experts" are calling for a dryer summer this year than last in our area so you better get what you can while you can :'( Hopefully they are wrong <party>

well one thing you find out about being married is that they don't tell you everything. The mower is ours. Was bought last month.

Here are some pictures of the one chopper in action. As Showsteerdelux can tell you we can open our own machinery dealership.

Woody went for his first chopper ride. He's almost getting to big to fit on my lap. He really seemed to love it but getting him up the steps was a challenge.

Pearl Ann, doesn't it make you feel like a fool when they have no idea what's going on somedays? Since they seem to be upgrading & trading it's hard to keep up! I do know we're getting a new combine sometime this year!
