Got home & got the mail. Had my Shorthorn Country with all the sale ads, Shadybrook catalog, K-Kim catalog , Steinke catalog, & Highlights of the Heartland catalog all in the box. There was also a few bills included in  there reminding me why I can't buy something at all of them. Hope the kids don't need any help with homework tonight.

What you have just described.....is the reason why I have to hide the mail until the homework and all chores are DONE.  When you posted the Cates Sale results, I was tearing up the place......to find the well worn copy of their sale catalog.  Digging thru the stacks of other propaganda....then I was inspired....to look in the teenagers bathroom......BINGO.

I think I will buy him one of those...John's Bathroom Readers for Christmas.....so we can find all of the Purple Circles and Show Circuits.!

Gosh my Christmas wish list is so sappy (just like a MOM  hehe)  I wish for my children to have success in whatever they do (both of them are living their dream right now)
and for no more prayer requests for anyone here on Steer Planet, and for Red to get back in ship shape (she is working on it for sure),
Lets see something for me ( a new puppy) and a new truck for my husband.  And 20 healthy happy Milkman steers (another hehe) and some good smokies from
our Char bull. 

Just got my catalog from Nick and was very impressed. This might be the first catalog I have ever seen where I wouldn't mind bidding on every lot even the THC calves. Even the calves that didn't photo as well still have at least a few shots of T90 in them so you know they would make great cows. Nicks sale is always interesting because you never find out what the best calf is until about five years after the sale. There is always a true sleeper who turns out to be a awesome donor cow. Was also impressed with Kevin's offering. Since he is close to us it has been neat watching him build these powerful cow families generation after generation from his original donors.
