The only one i can remember was champion charolais at SA in 2009. He was very calm, big bodied and seemed like he finished out pretty well. He was good bodied, good looking fairly thick and fairly sound.

Thats not what Shackelford told me, he's the one who owned him. He was raised by the Isaccsons in Hereford, and bought through Tracy Haymes.

Thot the S.A calf in 09 was an Alias. i love the Chunky monkey calves

Yall are talking about two different calves.

The Grand in San Antonio in 09 was an Alias, but he wasn't shown as a Charolais (I think he was shown Shorthorn if I remember right). He was raised by one of the guys that frequents this site (Bailey in OK) and resold by Bonham.

The Champion Charolais that year was the Chunkey Monkey I think.

They tried to run him shorthorn, he was solid white with a pink nose, but they kicked him into AOB, the only reason i say this is because i was in the judging contest that day and didn't get to see him show. I saw him the week before and wasn't impressed at all, but i've been told he looked good at the show.

I personally like his heifer calves, tons and tons of volume and easy fleshing

We've got a Chunky Monkey x OCC High Density cow that we like as well.  She will be getting bred for a fall born and I think we may be looking to sell her.
