I have a large Hannibal cow (7+ frame)that I am looking to breed to something to downsize the calf.

So far she has had calves out of JPJ and my Beltie bull.  JPJ calf was very moderate, Beltie calf is too tall.

Her calves really grow, so I can afford to give up a little performance.

I am looking for a TH/PHA free bull.  I must be able to register the calf.

Suggestions?

Thanks-

I had 3 thrillers last year. 1 heifer and 2 steers. All 3 were out of sim x angus cows and all 3 were framy. I sold the steers and they went on to make 52"+ fats and I kept the heifer. She is as tall as her mother at 20 months.

We have had good luck with Uncle Kracker in moderating. We had one heifer out of a frame 5 cow that is two now, she is only 43" so maybe he moderated a little too much there.

I would agree here.  Saw the bull in person a few years ago and he is a stud.  Also look at (selfish plug) Little Cedar Cabrera 24.  Moderate with bone hair and power.

I would also throw in there Amen. We had a real nice heifer out of her but she was on the short side. Out of a short cow too though. But we really like her she is real deep and soggy.
