Title says it all...have a cow who throws great calves for us, always at the upper end. Only knock on them is they are usually shorter necked and they are very small frame wise. So I am looking into bulls that throw a little more length of neck and maybe knock her up a frame size.

What is the cow?

Almost famous is little older but has put some size and neck on ours. Sin City will add size and for us added bone and neck but not much mass. Hannibal on the right cow will balance one out nice, if the cow has some depth Hannibal will be okay.

Never seem Tycoon add frame always went the other way for me.  He did add a longer neck and awesome hair through.

What about Troubadour?  Hannibal might make a OK heifer but not a steer would be my thought.  Too shallow and lose power.  The Charx color is becoming more acceptable and you would be fine with either sex I would think.

her calf on the ground this year is a carpe diem right? he should have done a good job for what you want. he did for me in my alias  .. the only thing with C.D. is he can leave them pinched in the flank and he will take some belly and rib out of the cow

another bull you may want to consider is walks on water he appears to have a long neck and alot of mass good luck  (thumbsup)

i'll see if i can dig up some what would still be acceptable calves by ildeno from the 80's.

i'll throw in a doozy as well.

here's jarold callaghan messing up an Ildeno calf from the middle 80's during showmanship.  further up is the same calf at poly.
he weighed 1535 unshrunk at show in the show pic.  i think he had a 14 inch ribeye so a little under the 1"/100 lbs deemed "optimum".
at this same show, there was a bigger black chi steer that probably weighed 1600 from pomona.  he sure was ugly.

Yes she has a CD right now, and he did a pretty good job of what I am wanting. Just looking into some more options!
