My father and I have about 40 registered and commercial angus cows. I have been breeding the registered ones to popular duff angus bulls and got some nice calves.

What can I breed the commercial angus cows to?
I want to get good calves that are market able
The cows are pretty plain not super overly deep  just plain angus cows all have had at least 2 calves.
Would like to find a bull where not going to need to cut them out also

Thanks
Andrew

With just about any of the clubby genetics you can stand a chance of cutting one out. The c-section we had this year wasn't even clubby genetics.

What are you trying to produce? Said good calves marketable for what? feedlot or show

I haven't tried it yet, but Nelson's had some nice angus bred to Gigolo joe in there sale and the reports I've heard from friends were that they are awesome.  That maybe something to try.

If they are sound, which I assume they are, I would use either heatseeker or sunseeker.  Sunseeker on the cleaner fronted ones.  Those two bulls have to most potential to give you a club calf first go around.

On plain Jane commercial Angus cows,Heat Seeker and Who made Who,as Ohio breeder says is probably first choice. Sunseeker is strong enough,I think. I think Milkman,Troubador, and Point Taken should work.Full Throttle,if you can find good semen.

Larger type angus cows.... Dr. Who without a doubt.
Small compact angus cows..... Hannibal without a doubt.

Both are clean pedigrees so you won't have to worry about selling carriers or testing them.
Both are very sellable genetics.
I have experience with both of these!

Both of these would give you some nice females.  But, you won't really have any steers to sell.

Oh dusty, you would argue with me if I told them to breed to God himself.

I sold a few nice steers out of Dr.Who and Angus cows. Nothing at the National level, but some very nice junior show and state fair projects.
I also have seen some nice hannibal steers, although on my cows, he makes them about 1 inch too tall!

Show Heifer, I have to agree with you.  Although I think that Heetseeker & WMW would be hard to beat, Dr Who & Hannibal should sire some good calves too.  Don't know a thing about Milkman's birth weights, other than I suspect that they could get big, but I think that he'd be a great choice for Angus cows.

WMW, Dr Who & Hannibal are all clean... Heetseeker & Milkman are both dirty, I think.

We have had great luck breeding our reg Angus cows to Manchild.  He makes them stout, thick and puts a butt in them.  We tried him on one of our favorite clubby cross cows this year and he worked here too!!  He is a definite if you want clubbies.  Sunseeker worked well too,  Of course Dr Who really makes a show calf and they do well on the finish!  Good Luck
