I don't see the big deal with listing a couple things you have for sale on a message bord.  For instance, show equipment.  That is why I like steerplanet a lot more than clubcalves.  They delete listings on there message board all the time if people are trying to sell things and they aren't getting any money from it.  The sad thing is that the people on clubcalves live much closer to me and are better able to come by and look at some equipment, calves or anything else.  Their free classifieds might get looked at 10 times a day and is pretty much a waste of time.  Also, the SHOW OFF YOUR CALVES page always has the same steers on it, almost like no one ever sells anything and they have to pay for that advertisment space too.  The website is updated whenever they feel like it and producers websites are not updated regularly either.

I check steerplanet a lot during the day and I love how many different responses their are in a day.  The other websites don't compare in my opinion.  The classifieds section is free and anyone can list things here.  I haven't had any success selling from the classifieds on here but I am glad thier is a website that offers this to our industry.

GO STEERPLANET!!!!

Thanks so much Rueush. It's always nice to get feedback. I think each one of the boards has their niche but it's nice to hear you like it here!

I like this MB the best of all those that are similar.    (thumbsup) (thumbsup) (thumbsup)

One thing to consider about the 'for sale' issue is that it might not be the mods/admins but the way the board is set up.  I belong to a corgi forum where advertising is strictly forbidden because that was a clause in the list owner's contract - for free space.
