We had a super long thread on football, who follows a college bb ball team.

I am huge K-State Wildcat fan, we have a good shot of making the tournament and doing some damage because of Beasley and Walker.

However, we only have about 1 year of dominance before both probably leave for NBA.  Beasley will most likely be the #1 pick.'

Who is your team?

I didn't realize there was any other teams out there besides the TN Vols ( men & women)!!!!!!! ;) Although TJ's team wasn't too nice to us the other night. Vandy started off on a roll also, until they ran into TJ's team & the Vols .

Not gonna get too excited this year, since the 'Hawgs are in a rebuilding phase. Nobody could Coach like Nolan Richardson.

Indiana is definately strong, but I think I'm gonna go with Memphis or Duke to win it all. Duke has a really deep bench, and that counts for alot in the tourney.  John Sheyer might be the best man off the bench in the nation right now.

Being from Kansas, we are in pretty good shape this year.  KU always has a team close to the top and K-State has put together a great group if only for this year.

My son and I are big Michigan State fans, daughter and wife favor Michigan, just to be contrary I think. We should be pretty good this year if we can keep up the focus. Three freshmen this year who are really picking us up offensively from the bench. Wouldn't be surprised if they make it into the starting line up but it really doesn't matter who starts as they get a lot of playing time if the are hustling on D and making an impact. Nitzel seems to have found his shot the last couple games so that helps a lot. Much deeper team than last year with the freshmen plus a couple of others that can play and contribute. Only two loses so far, an early loss to UCLA and a meltdown in a weird game against Iowa. We should give Indiana a run for their money.

One guess who my favorite BB team is  ;D (dog), even though Doc's  "Vowels" beat us by 15 today. I'd say TN will have a good run in the tourney this year but I'd put my money on UNC, Duke, or Memphis in the big dance.

I'm an Oregon Duck fan.  Not quite as good as when Aaron Brooks was there.  I also watch a lot of Duke games since Kyle Singler went to my high school.

Singler has taken quite a beating recently.  He's pretty good though.. I really do root for Coach K and the Blue Devils..even though they are from THE rival conference....how big is your high school Ruchian?

As a KSU alumni of course I root for the Cats. Its nice to see them having a great year after Huggins left us with our shorts down and no Vaseline. To slightly modify what Jason said we will make the tourney and come March will be the team nobody wants to face. When all of our young talent gels we will be even tougher then we are now. I have gone to a few KSU games and Micheal Beasley is the best college player I have seen in a long time if not ever. He is leading the nation in rebounding and is fourth in scoring as a freshman. To bad we will only have him for a year. We will see how good the Cats are when they play KU on Wendsday.

Kentucky hasn't been that good until the last couple of weeks, but now they are starting to gel & look like a legit NCAA team. It will be interesting to see if the new coach can rebuild the program back to the Rick Pitino level, when we made the Championship game 3 years in a row, but I think that he's off to a good start.  I liked Tubby Smith & he had some really good moments, including a National Championship, but he lost his passion & really left the program in a mess! Still, Kentucky is #1 in all-time NCAA wins & we've won the SEC more than all of the other SEC schools combined!!

BTW, I can't stand Duke & I can't stand Coach K.  Coach K is one of the biggest "potty mouths" in all of college Basketball (he's a lot like his mentor Bobby Knight) & he can be a pretty poor sport!  Yet, ESPN loves the guy & they almost never show him in a negative light, yet they will bash Kentucky any chance they get... it's sickening the love fest that they have for Duke, especially "Dukey V", I mean Dicky V.

Arkansas has a really good basketball coach, IMHO.  Give Pelphrey some time & I think that he will turn the Razorbacks back into a National power.  Pelphrey is also a class act!!  He's a much better hire than Bobby Petrino (see Coach K & Petrino doesn't mind stabbing people in the back, etc.!!).

How about those CATS! Beasley and Walker looked impressive. Beasley showed he is the best player in college basketball and the 24 game home losing streak to KU is over.  (clapping) (clapping) (clapping) (clapping) (clapping) (clapping) (clapping)

What a battle, they traded blows back and forth.  Walker was a stud, and beasley stay out of foul trouble and put on a shooting clinic in the 2nd half.  This is a fun team to watch.

Also the celebration was kind of cool, I don't think it was over the top given the dominance at Bramledge by KU.
