There's a pretty good case for all three but my hat is off to Colt McCoy. He's a really good kid and deserves it.

No doubt. But I asked myself the question: Who is more valuable to his team? Tebow.

What are the chances that the the Heisman winner dosen't get first or second team all big 12. The sixth best QB in the Big 12 would be the best QB in most other conferences.

my thoughts on the heisman are that it should go to the player who played the most consistent all year and who is extremely important to their team. I am kind of hoping for sam bradford because he never had a bad game. although OU lost to UT he still did his part and played well. Colt McCoy has to be at least number 2 because he did so much for his team but he kind of stumbled a little against texas tech but still recovered. The other thing i can't stand about colt mccoy is how he has become the cover boy for college football. Honestly, how many times has espn touted him as some kind of hero off the football field? at least three times and counting. Graham harrell had amazing numbers and can throw the ball just as well if not better than bradford but he had the bad game against OU so he can't win. While i admire tim tebow for his life off of the field, i am not much of a fan of him on the field. he never looks natural and even though the jump pass is his "signature" move it is ridiculous. you can't call him a running quarterback either because he is just a fullback. Pat White is a real running quarterback and just imagine how good he would be if he could throw the ball.

In my opinion, Tebow is the best, and most valuable player in College football this year; maybe ever.  I can't think of anyone, at any position who has displayed the natural leadership ability of Tim Tebow.  This, combined with his athleticism makes him a once-in-a-generation specialty.  I only hope he doesn't waste too much of his life in Professional Football.  Tebow is the kind of person who can excel at anything.

Tebow shoulda won, and pretty easily in my mind. I've never seen leadership in any sport like Tebow exhibits.  Sure, they lost to Ole Miss, but since then, has there been a more dominant team? You could make the argument that Oklahoma was, and that's fine with me, I like Bradford...but Oklahoma didn't have to play an SEC schedule (no offense, you Big 12 guys).

Oh, and I think Graham Harrell shoulda been a finalist too..just losing to OU so late in the year killed it for him..he and Crabtree are a deadly duo though, that's for sure!

I think Texas got screwed in the Heisman and the National Championship. Texas beat OU and Mizzou and didn't get to play in the Big 12 championship. Hopefully justice will prevail and Florida will beat the dog mess out of OU and Bradford. McCoy was much more valuable than Tebow. Texas was supposed to have a down year, no solid running back, young secondary, young O-Line. They should be really tough next year.  Florida losing to Ole Miss at home is the worst loss of any team in the top 3.

I'm not even an OU fan, but come on... OU played 6 teams that ended up in the BCS final top 25 (UT @3, TT @7, TCU @11, Cincinatti @12, OSU @13, and Missouri@21) - Florida played 3 ('Bama @4, Georgia @15 and Mississipi @25). The day's are gone when OU, Nebraska and UT were the only "big time" teams we might be able to muster up.  Any of the Big 12's top 5 teams dropped into the SEC would stir things up pretty seriously. That's not to say that the top 2 or 3 teams from the SEC wouldn't do the same in the Big 12, but as a whole, there's just nothing to prove that the SEC could dominate the Big 12.

Big Tex, again, I'm not even an OU fan, but if UT deserves to win the South because they beat OU, then why doesn't Tech deserve it since they beat UT?  I agree the whole thing stinks, but there really just isn't a right answer.  OU (and Bradford) ended up on top for one reason - momentum.  They've been very, very good these last few weeks, and they've been very lucky, too, not to have tripped over themselves in the process - can they keep it up through the NC?  I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Alright, alright ghost rider, I hear what you're sayin...But you also helped to illustrate a little bit of what I was trying to say.  Football has two parts. Athleticism and Intelligence.  On the field/In your head.  Every conference game in the SEC is just like an OU/Texas Ohio St./Mich  kind of game.  It gets in your head that even though you're the underdog, you can beat these guys.  Don't get me wrong, the Big 12 is a very strong conference, and I don't argue with any three of its top teams being in the National Championship (If Tech hadn't lost so badly to OU), but historically, SEC plays more mindgames.

Oh, and btw, I'm a Fighting Illini....Big 10 isn't nearly as strong as the conferences mentioned above, and I concede to their majesty  ;)

I've been known to be wrong, but I think that OFS is right.  If Percy Harvin is back & near 100%, the championship game might get ugly.  If Percy Harvin is less than 90%, I still think the Gators are going to beat OU by a decent margin.  Why do I say that?  Watch the 2 teams play.   Oklahoma is slow compared to the Gators.  Even my wife commented on how slow Oklahoma looked playing Missouri.  Florida is just at a whole nother level.  And for that matter, so is Alabama, I just wish that they played Texas, not Utah!!!  T-Tech will have their hands full with a 8-4 Ole Miss team, they may beat that 8-4 team, but I think that 8-4 team will prove that they didn't belong in the championship game.   ;)  And preseason #1, Georgia isn't exactly chopped liver... getting beat by Florida & Alabama is nothing to be ashamed off.

Also, the BCS may have Cinncinnatti ranked @12, but if they were in the SEC, we'd be calling them "Vandy".   ;)    Don't believe me, well let's compare scores...  Kentucky beat Louisville 27-2.   Cincy beat Louisville 28-20.  Yeah, Cincy is a "real" powerhouse, so much so, that they might not even be going to a bowl game if they played in the SEC.  But, they play a weak schedule & that allows them to be ranked 13 spots higher than Ole Miss.  Ole Miss would stomp Cincy if the 2 teams played.

TJ, I don't think OU is as slow as you think. But we will wait and see Jan. 8th. I admit the SEC is Strong but they haven't seen the offences of the big 12 this year. The only reason OU looks so slow is because the offence runs so smooth. Roni

IDK... some future NFL early rounders named Stafford, Moreno, Green & Massaquoi got held to only 10 points by the Gators.  The Big 12 doesn't have any defenses like Bama, Florida or South Carolina had either... not even close.  Defense wins championships.

OU looked so slow because we watched SEC Football all year & we watched the SEC Championship game right before we watched the BIG 12 Championship game.  OU does have some speed, but their overall team speed is not up to par with the Gators.  And the OU front 7 on defense is where they looked the slowest.

Just my opinion & I can be wrong, but if Florida is healthy, I expect a beatdown.   I can't believe that I am going to say this, but here it goes... Gator Bait!
