Help my thinking if you would.

I have cow that is 1/2 blood Simmy/Angus.

She is out of a Heterozygous Black Legacy Cow x a Three Trees Angus Bull.

If I breed her to a Heterozygous black bull, it is genetically possible without knowing any genetic markers from her that she could have a red calf correct?  Since there is a chance she carries the recessive red gene, crossing her with a heterozygous black bull would give me a 1 in 4 chance of having a red calf.

Correct?
