market beef show is at 3pm today with grand selection at 8pm.  won't have results until late Friday.  I think the Anderson family has a really good Friction from Wade Rodgers.  Has anyone seen him?

How did the Andersen steer end up? I really liked him earlier this year.

The Anderson steer drew a tough class being with the Grand and Reserve. He stood 3rd. I would have had him in second as I did not like the reserve all that much. His white belly made him look high flanked but I dont think he was. Again congrats to the winners nothing against them, just my opionion. Frostie

I believe the Vickland steer came thru Caldwell via Tracy Goretska.  Lot 22 in last falls sale.  He did some winning early on.  Heat Wave

Sounds like the Ia. State Fair, one extremely tough class that all of the PPL were shooting for a certain wt. Does any one have Reid's Ph #? They purchased a steer marked as described from Bobby May last fall, (a Habeger's Texas Hold'em), that came from J Bar T club Calves and I was wanting to give them a call to hunt that dog down. Brent,

I don't have their number but I believe they have a website for their magazine "The Showtimes", that might have it listed in it. Took the team down to the Colorado State Fair and it was an excellent show. Not huge in numbers but the quality was good. Vickland's still was really good and I think won the show rather handily. Extremely well balanced from the side and probably more importantly was super sound. He wasn't the most powerful steer in the show but was by far the most complete. Everything fit together on him and like I said moved like a cat. The Reid steer probably did most closely follow him in type and kind but just didn't move as well or hold himself together quite as well.

Like others have stated Class 7 was really deep having 1.Vickland 2. Reid 3. Anderson 4. Dorsey and 5. Buck. I would have to say that class included 5 of the best 12-15 steers in the show. Beauprez's had a couple really nice home raised steers and there were a couple other family's that had some good ones as well.

Why not call Bob himself he will surely tell you if that was the calf or not.

Last fall @ Goretska's, if I had the money, lot #22 would have been the steer to chase. He was the best one that I personally saw last fall with lot # 18 close behind him. I think that Healy's had a Carnac that extremely good that I was told ended up in Co. also. JMO. Brent

The steer was the champion prospect in Denver this year.
