What's out there for commercially driven Maine genetics, does anyone feed out Maine genetics on the rail and get premiums? Thoughts on females? Maine angus?

There are plenty of options out there. I think some of the percentage and even purebred Maines are superior and can offer maximum results. I personally like the solid colored versions, black or red that have been bred for the important traits. Some of the calving ease specialists are extremely functional.

Look for some of the Maine Anjou breeders on this site. There are some great cattle people with a world of knowledge.

Anything with a GVC in front of it is a pretty safe choice for great commercial genetics.  Programs like Nagels and Truline also spend a lot of time focusing on the commercial application of their genetics in the industry.

Dave Steen is the go to guy that can point you in the right direction.  His job for the Maine Anjou Association is to work closely with the Maine Anjou breeders, along with the commercial breeders and feedlots, to promote the advantages of Maine Anjou genetics in the cattle industry.

I will second those suggestions.  Nagels brother runs a feedlot as well and feeds a lot of Maine influenced cattle.  I think there was an article on him not too long ago in the commercial paper the Maine association puts out.

Dave Stout and DeJongs in SD also have commercial influenced bull sales.

Another person to talk to about MA genetics is Fred DeRouchey. Has a wealth of knowledge about Maine Anjou cattle. Dave and he were college classmates and both know cattle.
