I was going to use the Vita Ferm Concept Aid mineral this spring but the closest dealer is not carrying it, so the next closest dealer is just over 2 hours away. I wanted to see if anyone has used any other mineral that is like Concept Aid and has had good results. I just did not want to drive the 2 hours just for the mineral, when I down that way next I will pick up some for next year but just looking for some other brand mineral that is like the concept aid if there is any. Thanks

Use Loomix, I like VitaFerm but you must realize that it is a good mineral with amaferm in it and that is why it is so effective. You can get the same results with other products if they are used correctly. In fact you can mix the amaferm into the liquid at the trough if you would like, or there is an additive that Loomix is toting called Loomix AO458-M and it contains similar additives but also includes a MOS product with it. There are "nice" molasses tubs out there but I have never seen consistent consumption on them this time of the year so I wouldn't recommend them.

Thanks guys for your comments. I have been looking around for the amaferm, to see about just putting that in my mineral. I had been using purina mineral that I can get local. I can get the lick tubs with the amaferm from the one dealer but I also don't like not knowing what they have been taking in. I give free choice mineral in granual form, I just add a bag when it starts getting low, I figure if they need it they will take it. So it would be nice if I can just add the amaferm to my mineral, that would be nice. Anyway, thanks again for the comments.
