How long should Concept Aid be fed to take an effect before breeding? We have had conception problems in the past so just ordered in a bag. Thanks!

I absolutly think that there is never a bad time to start a better mineral program. That being said, I also think that to get the most effect from a mineral for breeding you should start a good 5-6 months before you breed. Don't be discouraged or put it off by any means. It will still help and with more than conception. When our operation switched to the product you mentioned I saw an increase in body condition without any other input. The changes aren't instant but are valuable. While many factors affect breeding success without a strong mineral program you are starting from a deficit. Good luck and for what it is worth I think you are using as good of a product as there is.

We put ours out in September (when we switched) and started breeding after Thanksgiving. We saw a noticeable difference in our conceptions...

Glad to hear that you will be using Concept-Aid this year. I work for VitaFerm and we recommend feeding Concept-Aid 30 days prior to calving through breeding season. Some of our customers will feed Concept-Aid year round, and others will switch to VitaFerm Cattleman's Blend when they are not using Concept-Aid. It still has the Amaferm in it, and a good vitamin and mineral pack, but not the organic Cu, Zn and Mn. Good luck with your breeding this year.
