Has anyone seen any calves out of Copyright? (other than the PICs used to push semen sales) If so, how are they looking?

I have two, complete opposites of each other. One is breeding heifer type, one is market heifer type. One is hairy as a yack even after these 100+ days, one doesnt have any hair and never has. They both ok calves, not great, not horrible. I will continue to use him on heifers because of his low BW but thats it.

(I know they confirmed both out of copyright as we bought there mothers as bred cows from apex cattle where they were pasture exposed to the bull himsellf.

There was a copyright steer out of a heat wave cow at my county fair 2 weeks ago that was super stout and thick! It had tons of hair too and was not kept in a cool room over the summer. It was Grand Champion of the Open Show.

I had a copyright bull calf this past winter out of a really stout sunseeker/strictly business heifer.  He weighed 68lbs. and was 18 days early (no exposure to a bull).  I sold him for a clean up bull.  He was thick and had a lot of middle to him.  Not the heaviest boned and had that anugus head.  A nice calf just not in the prettiest package.

Just FYI but myself, and at least one other person I know had trouble getting our heifers stuck with copyright... Maybe it was just us?

My nephew showed a copyright X angus steer at fair this year.  Descent hair, good feeding steer that was reserve light wt.

Saw a few in a Wyoming pasture.  Really liked one heifer and one bull calf.  The bull was out of a Dream On granddaughter.  Interesting breeding but it worked.

Thanks for all your comments. I really like the bull and may try to use him this fall/spring breeding season.
