Hi everyone. We just bought a new place and starting to get ideas for our pens and corrals. I know pipe fences are probably the best bet. But pipe is high and hard to come by around here and I'm not that great of welder Haha. So what does everybody think of old school wood corrals or any other ideas. Also we are on somewhat of a budget. All of our cows are pretty gentle but we still want something well built. Thanks

If anywhere near the western mountains, lodgepole rails on used cut up utility poles as posts is pretty durable.  Next would be rough sawn 2x10 boards and use something like Timberlock screws to attach to posts.  Drill stem and pipe is best if you have horses because they don't chew the fence up.

Guard Rail for the crowding areas and alleys then high tensile electrified for the runs.
