I use Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants from Crossfield, AB for most of my flushing. It is a 600 mile trip out there but I continue to use them because of their international work. They do on- farm flushing through the months of April, May and June. If you have some recips set up they will also put the embryos you collect, in at the same time. I have also used Optimum Genetics at Regina, and have good success with them as well. I think there are quite a few excellent choices. I have stayed with Davis-Rairdan mainly because I export so many embryos and they seem to do so much international work that we can oftentimes make up joint shipments. Right now I am putting a shipment together for Britain and have gathered about 50-60 embryos that have sold over there. I have 26 of my own and okotoks has some along with several from other breeds. I am hoping we can find a few more to put in the tank so that the costs will be minimal on a per embryo basis.
I see that your Misty 57P cow is a descendant of HC Mac's Missie 78L, that your family purchased from us as a bred heifer. I remember her very well, and she was a thick even roan female with some outcross genetics in her background.
