Cost of Importing Cattle from Canada to US

Not finding anything on the internet. Does anyone know the cost of Importing mature bulls from Canada to US? Also, do you have to quarantine them for a certain time? Thanks in advance.

It will depend on what state you live in. Some states require more tests done than some others. Some states only require having a Canadian export paper that shows his federal ID tag number, and his age etc. If you take the bull yourself into the US ( as the new owner), you will not have to use a broker and thus there will be no brokerage fees. If you use someone else, who is not the owner, you will have to use a broker and there is considerably more paper work to be done. The brokerage charges are based on the value of the animal.
