Couple of spring bull calves!

This is a couple of spring bull calves. The red calf is a Feb. and the roan calf is a March. They are both sired by Martindell Impact ( DJS New Horizon x Durango) . The red is out of a Equity's Charmer x CF 11 Queens dtr. The roan is out of a Bloodstone x Lucky Charm dtr.

Thanks, I think they are going to come on pretty good. They were just weaned on Thursday and never been creeped.

Bloodstone x Lucky Charm He is gonna have some sweet calves. All ways wanted a Lucky Charm cow to have calves like him. Nice bulls!

Mark , here is a pic of Impact. Garret Meisner on here bought him last June.

he's got a very nice head.  you guys said they have no maine in him.  is there any with those big ears and somewhat maine head?

He has some on back there. Some Cunia, Mister T's Revolution, and CC Cujo( if you listen to what some say about his sire G-9).

I personally would like to see more masculinity in the heads. It is my opinion that the Shorthorn breed needs to have earlier maturing more masculine bulls. I am sure I will be acused of bashing the breed but by the photos I am concerned that these cattle would survive my enviroment......and Kansas as a whole....is a fairly representative area in the beef belt.

Whoops...typo would not survive. It is so ahrd to find the early maturing type Shorthorn.

I agree with aj. Shorthorns in general are a little late maturing. Doc, your calves look like they have some grow to them and the sure is a good looking animal. do you plan to sell them as herd bulls? They could work on black cows IMO.
