I've only seen a couple calves in person. But their dams were plainer made, smaller boned and footed, and narrower framed.

He sure powered them and made them pretty fancy. My kind of cows. So I'd use him on something needing some power.

We have used him a couple years on some commercials. 1 calf off him this year. Definitely throws some power and muscle. Real good width in the loins and well shaped hind quarter. I would say bw can be up there and attitudes of the calves could be a bit better but as far as performance goes he’s certainly worth trying out. This calf is out of a Shorthorn cow not quite a month old.

Indeed it is! Does he add or moderate frame in your experience shorthorn-fed?
I wouldn’t say he adds any more frame compared to the other ones here, we have used him on cows with moderate frame. We kept a full brother to the calf pictured for use in the commercials.
