Rinse him as often as you can (at least once a day if possible). After rinsing, take a rice brush and brush his entire body, legs, belly, everything STRAIGHT DOWN (this gets rid of curls and waves and a ton of water). Then comb everything FORWARD, then comb everything up at the angle you want it (usually easier with a skip tooth comb if they are real hairy). Following the brushing and combing, blow from front to back, forward at the approprate angle (usually about 45ish). Everytime you see a curl, re-brush it straight down again, re-comb it and continue. DON'T LET THE CURLS DRY INTO THE HAIR! A light oil like Luster's Pink Sheen Spray will help relax the waves and condition the hair & hide. I haven't had any luck with Wave Tamer before. As repetitive as this routine is, it really works. Once the hair is trained to grow and lay at the angle you want, it'll take a lot less time and you can skip the combing forward step and just brush down, then comb the way you want. Works on even the curliest haired Herefords! Good luck!!
