The Double Dip is fine, and is cheaper than Kleen Sheen.

The only other product I would have you use, at least a couple of times per week, is to blow-in pink oil or olive oil sheen (can get this at most drug stores) as a final step.  I am also a big believer in the use of Mane and Tail conditioner when rinsing, and occasional blowing-in of Revive.

We only rinse and shampoo 1 or 2 times a week when it is this cold out because it takes 40+ minutes to get them totally dry because they have so much hair.  When we shampoo we either use double dip or we will use human conditioner depending on how dry the hair /  skin is.

Everyday we get the calves in and blow them out.  Then if their butt or legs are dirty we use a bucket of warm water and rice brush to brush the dirt etc off and blow dry.  The kids brush in a mixture of ¼ rag oil and ¾ kleen sheen just a light mist on each side and the legs (about 3 or 4 squirts). Then we blow again fluff / comb with a red fluffer comb and blow in Final Bloom or Pink Oil.  We really like the Kleen Sheen and Rag oil mixture it puts some oil back in the hair and it also seems to help keep the calves clean.  With the wind and the frigid temps it really sucks the oil out of the hair and the skin so we try to put as much back as we can each day.  Our hair has never gotten too oily with this regime; it saves time it only takes the kids about 20 – 30 minutes per calf huge time savings when you have 6 calves to do.  With 6 head we go thru about a gallon of Kleen sheen a month and about a quart of rag oil
