dead calf

Hi I am new but I do have some experience with cattle. I had a min. hereford cow give birth today to a breach dead calf. Do I need to give her anything to help her milk dry up...or will this happen all on its own? All afterbirth accounted for and she is up and eating. Thnaks for any suggestions

She will be fine. If you want to consult your vet you can. I wouldn't worry unless you notice mastitis.

Would depend upon the level of dystocia, and the length of time she struggled. Did you pull it? I hate to hear of your bad luck. a little LA-200 wouldn't hurt.
