I have considered that, but we cannot get Leggs or Octane semen into Canada. Since she is too old to go into the US, I can't even take her across to breed her and flush her. Maybe we can find a way to make this work out. Wally Klose owes me some Octane semen, and he says he will get it to me. So far, I haven't seen it... haha..
I think there has to be a bunch of full Irish embryos in storage in the US. I have sold some to a breeder in Indiana as well a few years ago, but I never heard if he implanted them or not.
I am going to have to go back into my sale catalogues and check and see if I can find the name of the breeder in Oklahoma who bought several of the full irish females from the Mantua dispersal. There were two or three that had heifer calves on them and I think he took them all. Right now I am drawing blanks as to his name.

That was probably Larry Sherman in Chandler,Ok. He bought a full Irish Dividend dtr from me a few years ago. Mike Dugdale used to buy everything for him.
Wasn't High Octane determined to be THC?

Yes, doc, that is exactly who it was. I was having a brain cramp for a few minutes and could not think of his name.
As for the TH status of High Octane, I am not sure I ever heard what he was. The semen Wally owes me is from a deal many years ago... long before any of us knew anything about TH. Wally said he would give me some Octane semen for something I did for him. I really did not expect to ever get it but I like to keep reminding him that he owes me .... bigtime. I will check and see if I can find out his TH status.

I don't think Octane is even listed on the ASA's current TH Status list.

I wasn't able to find him.  I had originally thought he was on there, and that he was clean.

Unless they have changed things, just because they have been tested doesn't mean that they will be listed on the site. You have to give permission for the results to be listed.

I didn't know that.  Thanks for telling me.

I had noticed that there are quiet a few other bulls that are not listed on there.  I didn't know if it was because those bulls had not been tested yet or not.

JIT, Did you ever use any Highfield Parkler 104 ? Lazy D in MO had him. We had some nice calves by him, haven't used him in awhile. I've still got a cane of semen left.

No, I never used him. I saw him at Lazy D once and he was a good bull. He was sired by Leader 18th so he probably was a good female sire. I saw Highfield Parkler 100 several times at Martin Nolds and at Scott Dau's. He also bred very well. I know that several years after the papers were pulled on the Nold herd, that they  had a large semen inventory left on him. I am not sure if they still have it or not. These Parkler bulls were kinda in the Generation II of the Irish imports, and by then we had entered the Ayatollah era where everyone lost their minds for a while. Maybe these bulls would have become household names, like some others if they had come a few years earlier.
