I know this is a cattle forum but I have got to vent somewhere. Manning has lost accuracy and zip on the football. He just doesn't seem to enjoy playing football anymore. Who can blame him with his offense line not protecting him. I think their window to win the Superbowl was last year.

Couldn't agree more about no zip on the ball.  Looks like he's throwing a shot-put out there.  I blame his surgery on that.

He always seemed to be plagued to live up to his epd and never quite could do it except weaker teams.

I believe that Manning should have retired after last season.  I am afraid that he is going to overstay his welcome, and have to retire as a "back in his prime" kind rather than an MVP.  I realize that the decision must be his, and that he plays the game for a completely different reason than what my opinion of him will be.

As far as the way he is throwing the ball, I believe that comes down to wear and tear and age.  Manning has never had a strong arm.  He has gotten his statistics with his mind not his arm.  When you take a weak armed QB and let the league wear on him for 15+ years, this is the result.

Either way, the guy is about as classy as professional athletes get.

I think everybody in the world who knows me knows that I am the biggest Tom Brady fan there is, with that said Manning is a close 2nd for me. They will always be compared to each other and Manning has a lot of the records but that has to do with 3 more seasons played. The difference is going to be when Brady plays for 3-5 more years because of Kraft, Bellichick, and Scarnecchia ( until now that he left). They never gave Brady the Toys Payton had in a way. He did have Moss and he has Gronk, but guys like Deion Branch, Edleman, and Welker he created. Bellichick and Scarnecchia focused so much on teaching and coaching other players that his offensive line has always allowed Tom to be Tom Terrific. If you look at Manning especially now, they have so much money invested in Talib, the Wares, Miller, etc that the results is his offensive line. I do not know who is retreating faster, Manning or the O-Line. He has always faced this too, thats why injuries have finally caught up to him. He did always have Jeff Saturday, but thats one, it takes 4 others. He is playing with Thomas now at TE who is a receiving threat but is a blocking liablity. Where as Gronk is an old-school time TE who can do it all. Brady hates to be hit so bad he will duck at Ghosts. Go ahead and make fun but it has him 3 rings and 5 apperances doing it a long with the highest winning percentage ever. I will always believe the main thing that seperates them will be the coaching and playing of the offensive lines. I love watching both of them and i will hate the day either retires, but I do feel Manning should've retired last year with the regular season he had. Hindsight is 20/20 but i agree if he continues he will be remembered has "back in his prime". Just like i feel if Tom wins the Super Bowl this year even if he has 3-5 years left, he should retire a winner and not chase the 5th ring. My personal opinion is i do believe the colts still should have stuck with Manning instead of Luck ( I know nobody knew his status etc) and luck is supposed to be the 2nd coming, but its a win now league and they couldve won more with Manning I believe. Everybody has their own opinion. Colts thought he was done, Elway thought different, both ends ended up making good choices. I just hate to see Manning in the position he is in now. Personally I believe Broncos should've signed Blount in the spring as well, but hindsight is 20/20, nobody knew Ball would get hurt. Both are class act QB's and the league needs about 15-16 more QB's who conduct theirselves the same way.

The Broncos might be setting themselves up for a run at the super bowl. Any team in the NFL can put together a 4 game streak.

I think I saw yesterday somewhere that Peyton Manning will be back for one more year.

I hope the Broncos will return to the Super Bowl. I want to be optimistic but I have to be realistic. The Broncos just have too many questions. The offense line, linebackers, Julius isn't playing as well. Neither has Peyton lately. My guess is the Broncos will get the 2nd seed and a 1st round bye. My guess is their 2nd round opponent will be either the Bengals or Steelers. From what I have seen lately and going back to several games last year including last years Super Bowl that if a team really gets physical with the Broncos, the Broncos fold up shop. I wish they were a more physical team. I guess we will see how it all plays out in the very near future.  Broncos are missing a physical presence in the middle of the Defense since Al Wilson retired.

I haven't got to watch much football this year, probably the first year I haven't seen every chiefs game.  The chiefs had an outside chance today, but the loss to the raiders and titans earlier in the season cost them the playoffs.

Going through New England will be tough, even though Manning has played better in cold weather than I thought he would.  I can't root for you though, I like Manning, but too much donkey hatred in me.  (lol)

Just cause the broncos have beaten the chiefs every time they have played in the last 3 years doesn't mean that you have to be a hater Jason

I'm a Chiefs fan too! I went to yesterdays game. It was amazing and I just wish that team would show up every week.
