I am from California. The temperature is between 90* and 100* during the summer days and anywhere between 70* and 60* at night. I have two calves that i want to grow more hair. They had great hair when i purchased hair them back in Feb. Now there baby is out i put them in a cold room at 55* daily and turn them out at night. Before i turn them out should i rinse and blow them? or is it better to rinse, brush and leave, rinse and leave wet? Before i put them inside the coolroom should i rinse them or put them in dry?
Does blowing grow hair?

Rinse and blow them out in the morning before you feed and at night before you turn them out. Rinse them outside the cooler, and brush and blow them inside.

Rinse and work their hair once in the morning and once at night before turning them out. DRY THEM! I do this with my steer and he has wonderful, thick hair. We don't even use a cooler room, we just keep the fans on him all day. Drying them seems to do a good job and it makes them look better too! Dry the leg hair very well and that will help the legs too.
I would do this, in the morning before the sun is up, rinse the first one, comb the hair up in the direction you are blowing it in, put that calf in the cooler with a fan blowing on him. Rinse the second calf, comb his hair up the way you would blow it and tie him in front of the fan. If you feed in the box, feed them and wait 30 minutes. Now go back and blow the first calf out, then move on to the second one. do this again around 6 in the evening and then just before you kick them out blow the hair again and put some Kleen sheen on them, kick them out after the temp gets down to 70 if you can. You want to concentrate on the legs with a roto brush each time you rinse and blow out, you can also spay revive on the legs as you roto brush on them.
