Dover Ranch, Billings MT is still operating. Call and visit with them, they have shorthorns. The bull in my avatar is out of a Dover female, A&T Captain Obvious was bred by A&T in Haysprings, NE.  Aaron frequents this board too. Semen is available thru Cattle Visions. I'll post daughters of his.

YLazyY also owns a Bull bred by Dover. DRC 101VM or some know him as "Dover". Ralph is on this board too.

Dover Ranch cattle are purebred but have not  registered cattle for years. I think if you start digging, Rick Osterday has a nice cow base from years ago. A&T purchased a group that have papers and also Peakview Ranch  in Colorado. Ralph Larson has a nice group and the bull as well.

All I can say in regards to your remark about "traditional " is Dover just never took there eye off the ball, calving ease and listening to a commerical cowman. There is a article in the Shorthorn country  written in the "80s" about Dover and the difficulty of selling high birthweight bulls?

Jake, a sale you dont want to miss is March 24th. Rob Sneed and Friends "back to basics", Sedalia MO.

I would love to see a group of the dover calves or yearlings in person. The photos and individuals I see I love, he is a changer.  Ralph should catch up with you. Let me know how Nitro works out too.
