Wow, he sure does look good.  I'm sure he's fed up and what not, but he looks really really nice.  I'm thinking really hard about using him for next spring.

I was surprised at the dimension he has. He looked shorter bodied in his younger picture. I like his mature picture and am with you will probably use him this spring.

Sexed semen being processed on Dr. Who. He's the 1st bull that I am interested in the sexed semen. I know Kent will do it right.

Do you want heifers or steers with him? We used him for the first time and got two heifers by him. Love the heifers, I am trying to trade the hubby for his heifer. Anyone know if you can you get red ones by him?

Yes you can get red ones and ones that are chromed up. I saw a red bull calf this year already out of a 6807 cow bred to him that looks real nice. I personally love this bull, not too many bulls can give you a heifer or a bull and be satisfied with either one. Great find of his mature pics also.

Dr. Who raised a Champion Red Angus steer at Houston a few years ago.  The calf won in the exotics all year and then somehow got through the sift as a red angus.  He also sired the Grand Steer in San Antonio in 07.

We used Dr. Who on a 7 crossbred cows last year.  We got 4 calves (one died after birth - nothing appeared to be wrong, just one of those things).  Of the three live calves, one doesn't amount to muchI was initially underwhelmed by the calves this fall.  However, the other two (one steer and one heifer) are very nice.  The steer is now in the barn is probably the biggest boned, heaviest muscled, best haired black calves I've raised.  A little big in the shoulders and may break behind them a little, but that probably comes from the cow as that issue pops up in our calves a little.

I didn't use him last fall and now regret it, especially seeing this picture.  I will use him again on more cattle next year.  Bulls that look like this after they are old are who we ought to be using more of.  His steers and heifers both work - which is what I really want.

2005 GC steer @ Aksarben was a Hereford marked Dr. Who.
I want the heifer semen although we have had good DW steers, I think his heifers are where it's @ for this bull.
Chambero, when you tell your stories about what makes the breed sifts down in Tx, I have to say, (WHAT THE HECK).LOL.

Want heifers?  I've been told to put 1 gallon of apple cider vinegar (not flavored, but the real thing) per100 gallons of drinking water.  Let the heifers/cows drink this for at least 30-45 days before breeding & eliminate all other water sources if possible.  I have never tried & I don't know if it works, but I've had several people tell me about it who swear by it!!  The theory behind it, is that it changes the PH of the reproductive tract, favoring heifer producing sperm over male producing sperm.  Supposedly it can produce 90+% heifers.

Actually people were doing the vinegar/water thing for herd health benefits & they ended up getting lots of heifer calves every year.  Like I said, I've never tried it & I don't know if it would work, but if you want heifers, it would be worth a try.

I am going to give him a try one more time. I had an ET bull calf last year. Partisover x Dr. Who. The gentics should have been phenomial. NOT. He went to the stock yards. He was a mess. I am going to try him on a Mossy Oak heifer this year maybe. She is smaller framed and finer made but always lays down and pops out a calf.
