I was curious about what everyone's experience was with the simmental bull Dream Catcher.  I have a Simple Math/Friction heifer that is really cowy.  I was thinking of looking into the sexed heifer semen from him.  She is a bit smaller framed but is deep bodied with a lot of rib and shape to her.  She has done really good showing for us this year maybe the only thing I would like to change on her is give her a bit more leg bone.  I am just a few years in to starting a small club calf herd so any other suggestions are welcome.  I think this heifer has the potential to make a really good cow so with most easy calving bulls not typically throwing over powering calves I was thinking of breeding for a heifer.

Personally i havent used him but i have heard some good things from a couple long time simmental breeders i trust. I have seen some really great heifers out of him over the last few years. From what ive heard he works best on deeper bodied cows. The only negative comment ive heard has to do with his rear end , i think when you look at his mature picture you will know exactly what im talking about. A bull that must be bred to the right type of cow , then you have a sure hit in my opinion !

Agreed, the good ones are darn good; but the bad ones I've seen were consistently tight flanked and lighter muscled. So on a deep, stout cow he should work very well.

She is deep and has some muscle and thickness in her top.  She is not heavy boned is really the only negative I have.  She is a pure breeding heifer and has had that cow look to her since she was born.  Maybe I will try and get a picture of her and post.  Thanks for the info.  Does anybody know what his sexed heifer semen goes for?
