Thanks kibler, I thought she was the best all-around SH female I've seen offered this year and I'm pretty excited she's coming to Texas.  I've sourced shorthorns from various places across the country and the JSF bred cattle continue to rise to the top.  In terms of functional purebred SH cattle that work in my part of the world, JSF sets the standard-

Down the road-she"d sure work with that awesome fullblood Maine we were commenting on-remember boy-hes in Texas too-I wont tell nobody if you break rank niether ;in fact-I'd buy embryos on something like that if it ever came up:beins he"s probably got as much Durham in him as alot of the popular cattle today:to translate-the backwoods hillbillys that i"m related to in WEST VA still call em Durhams. I love your persistency Mark but I think I'm going to stick w/ the SH's.  I do like the Imperial bull for those looking at Maines though.

I really like the Marvels.  The 103A heifer from last year's sale made the transition to TX and held up perfectly over the summer.  It speaks volumes of the genetics when you can turn a conditioned heifer calf like this out in the pasture with home-grown replacements and they never miss a beat.
