My son has a little heifer named "Jules"  that he is showing this year so he wanted an extra special eartag for her.  I just know my husband is going to love this! lol (thumbsup)

Have any of you did anything fun inspite of your spouse with your cattle for the sake of the kids having some fun?

I have 100 straws and Ron Terpstra (his new owner) has some too.  I'm sure if you want some we could hook you up.  Its up at Hawkeye.  I've got a full brother to Mucho on the ground right now named Mucho Grande (I didn't name him trust me) and I seriously like him more than I liked Mucho Dinero at this stage

I knew you jumped way more than that. Was just saying that I hoped you had acquired more than 100 straws for yourself!!  We would all love to see pics of 'Grande". ( I bet you did name him) jk

I have to put up with my boys naming their calves with way to "sissy" names for my taste.  We have one this years whose true registerd name is "Spotty Spot". I made the mistake of making him help me fill out the registration form and he wouldn't have it any other way.  One steer is named "Troublemaker".  I'm not allowed a vote any more.

I would read plenty of these type of tags at the packing plant when I did tag transfers.

"fluffy", "teddy", etc...

its so funny you would bring this up...i had been tossing this idea around in my head too...at the obe there was a lovely heifer that had light dusting of glitter all over her...under the sale lights she really sparkled! it was very sharp and classy looking.. i told my husband i want to use some of that!  and that she would have just looked adorable with some "ear rings"....hey, all girls need a little bling!  ;)

I'm out voted at my place, too--3 females against lonely old me-- and they come up with some doozies!!  This year I got involved a little and so we have a heifer named Whitney and a bull named Weston but, from there on out, the females took over and we also have Wally, Wynonna, Wyatt and worst of all they want to call our Gus calf Wilbur!!  I think I may have to step in with an executive order on that one though.  I think Stumpy might shoot me if I let the name Wilbur stick and we actually take him in the ring with that moniker!!

Oh, by the way, my girls want to bling up their show calves tags as well.  I used to argue with them but now I just ignore them and they usually move on to something else without actually making any tags.  I hope my strategy keeps working!!

That's a pretty ear tag. :)

My math teacher from high school showed horses and she always told me that I should put glitter in my heifers' hair before I showed them so they would sparkle.

Oh that's more than WAY COOL Gidget. I think I'll pass on the ordering part for now. Why couldn't it have been D's calf?

long story but I'll give you the cliff notes...

Evan is in love with Juli lol.  The night before her sale he lost his first tooth and couldn't say Juli...it came out as "Jewlery".  He said she's as pretty as jewlery anyhow.  Well she told him her real friends called her Jules.  Thus the calf's name is Jules.  The bling is a joke on the "jewlery".  He loves it, I haven't showed hubby yet.  I may just tag the calf and not say anything and see what he says.

I may have them forsale on my website soon!
