I don't think that there is a certain ear tag for show cattle. ??? some other people help to tell me if i am wrong

I always cut mine out before showing on heifers on steers the show rules may say which ear to tag in.

I always put my tag on the judges side so it gives them something to remember you by. Dont know if it really helps or not thats just what I did.

We tag heifers on the right and steers on the left. Makes it easier to tell which sex when they are little, and then the Bangs and tattoo on the heifers can go in the left.
