He was born in October and had a 68 pound birth weight.  He is out of a first calf Freebird heifer.  No creep and will be weaned next week.

Great calf I really like his masculinity. Maybe would like to see him with a little more depth of rib but that's splitting hairs. What does he weigh or you think he weighs?

My brother in law who owns the local sale barn said he weighs 550-600.  I will wean him and get a true weight next week.

We have thought about showing him but we have a small show barn and currently have it full of the kids heifers.  We thought about selling half of him to someone who wanted to show him.  But we really do not know what we want to do yet.  I think he has the chance to be very unique and useful kinda sire.  His reg name is Lane's freedom and his registration number is cm587307.  Let me know what you think about the way he is bred.

His feet are really good. When Brian Cates saw him his comment about was he thought he was really good on his feet and legs.  He is very big testicled.  We will sell any steer planet orders $25 per unit and that will include the certificate.

Mark I have some semen on the original Impact Shaker bull.  I am pretty sure i could get you some.I am going to breed him back to some of his granddaughters.  We have a January bull calf out of a shaker daughter and Delco that is pretty good.  His main issue is he is horned.

Looks good Will, I like him, especially considering he hasn't been grain fed. We just weaned a Waco X Dream Girl bull calf that I brought up to my place and put on feed a couple days ago, he looks a lot like him, just not quite as big, and was a bigger BW than your bull. Do you have a picture of this bull's dam?

Here ie the only picture I have of her, I took it some time last winter when she was a yearling running with Throwback.  It is not a very good picture.  She has stayed in good condition through the drought.  I would not call her the heaviest milker but the calf has done well.

I just weaned this calf this morning.  I took him straight off his mother and hauled him 6 miles to a set of certified scales and he weighed 643 pounds.  We will see what he looks like in 45 days.  Thus far he has me very excited.

Here is a picture of the calf after 45 days of feed.  We have decided to try and show him at some shows this fall and winter.
