2,5 years ago I paid $900+- for three embryos at a major big league fall shorthorn sale in Illinois-they will not give me my embryos-nor will they give me an explanation,or my money,-who is responsible for the sale -the "cattle service "I wrote the check too? The seller who sold a full sib to these at Denver just under $6000? or the large shorthorn breeder who held the sale? O0 This is a mitigating factor in my firesale and losses after 18 years raising them,I had a much larger ripoff by some toads in Ohio involving $14000 plus worth of calves O0

I believe Sale Management has a role to play in this one.
They negotiated your cheque from what I am hearing.
That constitutes a deal.

Contact all three and let them know that you will take legal action if they do not complete their part of the transaction.  Then hire an attorney if they fail to either deliver the embryos or refund your money.  Unless they are complete flakes they will surely respond rather than face a lawsuit.

I suggest you get to an attorney fair quickly. In some states they put a limit on the time you can pursue after a sale. I would find a good ag attorney and go after your money, eggs or both.
Then I would let anyone who you think might do business with them DON"T. POOR on sellers part- they should make it right. They reaped the benefit of your money and kept the property. NOT RIGHT!

Depends whether I have to travel 750 miles to thier jurisdiction-In the event I did get a local judgement-it would be fun to serve it during the opening announcements of the next sale (lol) O0

I have heard of folks after a sale or non payment contact the local sheriff in their juristiction and go and pick up property with a sheriff. If you have all the proper documentation in order and reciepts. You can call the local district attorney and prove your case. They can assist you in retrieving you property with or without notice.

well you could post all of their names here and that might be incentive over the embarrassment and loss of name to make them turn them over or refund you.  it is horrible that this is happening if there is not reason for it which it seems to be.

I dont like the posting name deal.i think if people want to know PM it or call them. While its not right, keep some integrity.if you post names and they make it right, then in fairness to them, you should say they made good.Rusty
