Foot size seemed okay to me. Yes he has a ton of hair but what bull in Denver doesn't? With all that hair he seems to have a small foot but really doesn't. Even if he does small default on a really good one.

I wasn't in Denver but a good friend of mine was.
His thoughts on even better was he was the best one. Not for just one particular thing but the bull as a whole. Yes he might have a touch of shoulder and might be a tick smaller in frame. But there are a lot of cows that are a little flatter and bigger that should mate well with him.

At the same time I would not breed this bull to clubby cows. I would stick to more of a breeding outcross base. The clubby bull gene pool is beyond stupid small. All the new bulls are pretty much the same in bloodline.

Good thing for me is I don't have any clubby based cows. Mostly pb angus, Maine and a few sim. I have a few that I'm really excited about using Even Better on.

The foot size on this guy really throws him out of the running for the best bull, IMO. Most of the clubbies are getting smaller footed every year. Clubby or not, they really need to start breeding for more foot and other important traits.

For those of you who HAVE seen either bull; does MAB have a larger foot size than does Even Better? How is the bone and foot on MAB, I had read somewhere that one of his better traits was his bone/foot size.

So he will be a good choice for downsizing?

I would also like to know this.  How was his foot compared to the Clones??

For me his foot size is fine for me. All his leg hair made him look alittle small footed but in reality he is not. Clones had good foot and bone size but were WAY to big shouldered and terrible on their pasterns.

Any clubby bull is. Its what they exel at and are made to do.

I havent seen a clubby bull in years to use on smaller cows to upsize and get showsteers. Ironically, thats how it used to be, ie chi bulls like ildeno and maine bulls like smithbuilt.

Perhaps there is one?

He had a significantly smaller foot than the clones did, however he was a lot smoother over all and had a way better shoulder. I think thats one of the trade offs you are going to run into.
