Does anyone have an experience with the Tryon Bull from express.
His EPD's show that he is extreem calving ease, but the % accuracy are not very high.

I have 4 heifers that I will be AI'ing this spring and I really like his profile picture.
just knew that you don't or didn't hear a whole lot about the bull

I don't think he was ever used much and I do not see him appear in pedigrees very often.  He is an older  bull, so that could indicate that he is either an undiscovered gem (probably not) or just wasn't very useful.

We used him one year and we used him on first calf heifers. Had a purebred angus we used him on and had a bull so we kept him for a clean up on our heifrs and them calves do good in the feed lot also.

I used him one year. Didn't get any calves. That may be why there's not many calves out of him or maybe just a coincidence?

I had an EXAR tryon Calf this past weekend, Heifer calf must have weighed all of 60 pounds, Calf was 7 days early based off of a July 27 breeding, came easy and healthy. This was the cows second calf, last year she had a huge heifer out of another supposed to be calving ease bull, had to be at least 90 pounds. Not sure if it was the bull or my feeding program, changed the bull and the feeding program.
Cow took about 3 hours from the point she was showing signs of wanting to calf until she calved, wondering around, laying down, standing up, I went in the house for 15 minutes around 8:30 came out to a calf on the ground. Cow talking up a storm and licking the calf like crazy, about an hour later calf was up and nursing.
