Is there ever a time when a market heifer could be too extreme?  We have a Monopoly x Friction market heifer purchased out of WI.  She is beyond extreme and is bigger (muscled) than a lot of steers that have a target date of late August.  She is not very tall but her back end is just huge, as well as her top is extremely wide, suprisingly she seems to be very sound.  We were feeding a Purina Show Chow ration with Grand 4T Fyer.  It was mixed with corn, beet pulp, cotton seed, oats, and protein lick.  We ran out of our ration and it was suggested that we go to an 18% calf grower for a couple months with a Pre Con to allow for a little more height.  We have started the 18% grower and have the Pre Con on order.  She is a beautiful calf we are just afraid of her being a little extreme.  Would love to hear opinions.  Will have pics to post by the end of the weekend hopefully.

Sounds like she's on the good side of extreme, could be worse, but maybe pictures will help us analyze her more.

No just really extreme.  I am hoping to have a pic tommorrow.  She may not be the cleanest as it has been quite cold the last few days in West Central Minnesota and we do not have an indoor wash rack.  I think she looks good but like I said she is very extreme and we have very very good money into her.
