I was wondering how the eye candy calves are during calving?  Is there alot of them that need pulled or are they unassisted for the most part? I have a couple coming here in the next week and is the first time I have calves coming from him.  I talked with a couple people and they have had calves from eye candy unassisted so I am hoping that is an MO...  Also have the calves come early or late or on time?

Thanks for any information about him.

We will only have one this year. It was a bull calf, came yesterday at 282 days, unassisted. From an Ali daughter.

heard of some big ones and some pulls but the cows half the equation. to be honest, after seeing a bunch of cool little babies out of him, i like that he is making stouter calves and on most of our cows i would not be worried about calving problems but then again there are a lot of angus influenced females that don't have a too many calving issues in their pedigrees.

I have had 7-8 Eye Candy calves over the last 2 yrs and have only pulled a set of twins because the cow was down one was backwards.  If she had been up she could have had them easily.  I have first calf heifer of of Eye Candy this year that had a Northern Improvement heifer calf.  Good little calf! I will continue using Eye Candy.
