I just had one born that is lighter eyed too. Maybe not quit that light, I will look closer tomorrow when I tag him. He is not Simmental.

I had a K&A Rambo cow that had a bluish tint to her eyes, similar to what was shown.  All her calves had a lighter color to their eyes also.

I have had several calves like that as well. Most will get darker as they get older. Had one cow that kept the blue eyes and was pretty strange looking. I have one this year that is a King Meyer, his twin brother is normal. Most all of mine have had some simmi in them.

I have seen this a few times.  Every time i have seen a calf like this it was Meyer influenced.  The first one was out of Sumo (a Meyer son that was never too popular) that a neighbor raised and a good friend of mine bought for his daughter to show.  Last year i had a Carney man steer that had "blue" eyes and a King Meyer also.  It may be a coinsidence but they were some of the more docile calves of their respective group.  They were deffinatly not blind and had no problems. I would not worry about it, it could be considered as a new way to add chrome!

Thanks for all the input. It's really appreciated.
She is turning out to be a pretty decent heifer. I will post pictures of her in the future. I hope she keeps her blue eyes. Like Woody said it's a new way to add chrome!!
