Last fall when i preg checked cows my wifes cow was confirmed bred about 40 days along.  Shortly after that she came in heat.  I see this all the time with the dairy cows at work so I figured
she slipped the calf.  Since this is my wifes cow she got the Lucky Dog Pass and was goin to stick around and I would get her bred for a January calf.  Had her in the chute yesterday to start her on shots because she missed her last heat cycle.  Just for reassurance I palpated her and to my wonderful surprise the old hag is actually pregnant.  It obviously was a shock to me because this cow was cycling like clockwork all winter.  Anyone else had one cycle that regularly that long?  It sure made my day!!!!

After this I sure am a believer in recheckin them before you send them to town.  It still amazes me today that she is pregnant cuz she was showin such good heats all winter.  Deffinately a good surprise for once.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 (clapping)
