Has anyone seen the cattle in Studer's, Mitchell's Aber Tees and Gilman's sale? It was kind of refreshing going through the catalog and not seeing page after page after... you know, the same female lines and breeding over and over again.

I saw the bred heifers Studer has earlynin the summer.  They are a solid group that should make really nice cows.

Studers can breed cattle-they know how to throw enough maine or clubby in the mix (Schmidts Soul Train, the Spotty Queen, Pretender and a bunch of others)and combine it with conventional and Canadian breeding to keep the cattle THICK,yet real world usefull:and truthfull about calving ease, wieghts etc.How many commercial users have a son of Salute or line bred Solution etc in thier herd. Or the "latest" CE genetics that go back to DMCC LTD Edition (courtesy of Mark Mueller)that are just toooo elite or fantastic for the average or small cattle person to use:and are only available to a limited number of Lemmings.Hats off-they are one of the very few breeders who have these kind of Shorthorn cattle available to the (not so) teeming masses O0

Looking forward to the sale.  We are selling our Donor cow.  She works on every bull we used her on.  Last years top selling heifer was a DF Waco out of her.  Also had a top selling heifer a few years back out of SS Deadwood.
There will be something for everyone.  The breds from Dale will really work.  Our Donor cow came from a cow we bought from Dale. The cow goes back to Winter Puff.

She calved in January and we flushed her to Waco, got 8 embryos. Put in 3 got 2 to stick.  We are selling one of those receipts as she is carring a heifer calf.  Also we bred Puff back for a April calf and she was ultrasounded for a heifer calf by DF Waco
We have flushed her a number of time and she produces between 6 and 15 eggs,
