I am needing some help on naming my farm. I am not Hooked on flyin tale farms.  I am just gettin out on my own, newly married within the last year, and we own a little bit of land.  I am filling out some paperwork and I need a farm name. I just don't like the sounds of what I am coming up with.  My name is Emily O'Brien and my husband's name is Steve.    I would love for some great ideas!  So let's here them....

I like the name you have. In advertising you could elaborate on each lot's tale.  It would probably get old so use sparingly.

The one's you sell would fly off to a customer and spin their own tale.

our family has had the same name for years. the home place sits on a slight hill and you could always see for miles. Hence its Fairview Farms.

I like Flyin' Tale but do you have any family history that you might incorporate or a breed you focus on?

There is not any kind of family history I want to add, and I want a field full of color....no particular breed

The last post is funny.  Would shorten to PC Farm and make people ask what it stands for.  But if i sense a bit of Irish might consider Emerald Hill    or Emerald Lane-green is after all the color of money ;)

I've always like the name "Flat Broke Ranch".  But I think it has already been used a few times.  Goes very well with the old saying of how to make a small fortune farming, start with a large fortune.

The name is catchy...but, there are some people that may look to hard into the name, and think that you named the farm because you have crazy calves or something like that.  I agree this name can work, but dont over do it, and use it creatively, and i also agree that landscape can also be good, we used to be misty meadows farm, until to many people thought that our actual last names were meadows

I have thought long and hard about SEO Cattle Company.  I just don't think O'Brien Farms/Cattle Co/Show Cattle/Club Calves  etc.....sounds very good.  And about the s.o.b and family farm,  I am the brains of the cattle...it's all about me here :)

You can also think about where you have come from not only where you are going for example my wife's grandfathers nickname was Ty and my grandfather was donard  those being the men that taught us about cattle it was only fitting we used the name tydon cattle co it means so much more to us now espically since we have lost both these great men in the last three years
