What's your favorite thing to do on your farm or ranch? For me its checking the cattle, riding the horses, four wheeling, driving tractors for my dad.

In the mornings after I get thru feeding, I like to sit in my chair at the barn and just enjoy the peace and look at our cows.  It is a good way to relieve my stress.

Hard to pick one thing... right now ready for cooler fall so I can truly enjoy more time out and about.
Its pretty equal between feeding the catfish... checking the cows (especially new calves).... and sitting on the front porch watching the sheep in the pasture!
Nothing like country living!

Got a great white pyrenes pup. Love to watch hin. Hes getting onery. Knows how to play in water dishes to cool off. The world is cool when you watch young kids or calves play around. Its the life cycle. Things and people are born and they all eventually die. To bad youth is wasted on the young. ;D

I love to just sit on the grass or in a chair and watch them graze. Mornings are my favorite, with a warm cup of coffee on a cool fall day  :)

watching my two kids walk out in the pasture, put a halter on their heifers by themselves, and lead them in.  I will tell you what tho....watching my youngest (boy) learn how to mow the yard this week.  Ohhhhhh how I loved WATCHING instead of riding!

Hey my son is doing that too. Husband bought a new riding mower when I was gone and my son and reach the pedals and if he eats a big meal can keep it going. Funny how some days he cant do it.
Anyway my favorite thing is halter breaking and then being able to rinse and blow the calves. Fun to see the hair start to grow and how much better a little grooming can change them.

Mine is the excitement of watching a calf being born. What color will it be? What sex? We try and guess based on what it looks like before we check? I love watching the cow take care of a newborn. Nothing sweeter.

Turning cows out on new pasture.  Watching even the oldest and fatest jump, run and play is always fun.

;D  Watching the cattle lay down and chew their cud is the most relaxing thing for me....better than a bubble bath!  Great therapy if you ask me!

A calf running around whith their tail stuck straight out on a cool fall morning.....watching my kids work their calves.    And the harvest of our crops ...nothing like harvesting a good field of cotton or peanuts ....ahhh life on the farm .......nothing much better :)
