got an FCF sale catalog in the mail yesterday.

in spite of no status of either the bull or offerings, i was really impressed by a couple of lots by the fullblood bull lucky seven.

i thought these lots had tremendous capacity compared to everything listed including the lead offering

22
47
49 (i think i like this one the best)

It is nice to see some different pedigree's in a sale catalog. If I could I would take a look a lots 17, 20 , and 47.

BKDJ Backdraft 721J  is a carrier but the rumor mill says he might not throw the TH gene as off en.

If I was going to gamble on a breeding piece... My pick would have to be lot 24. Out of a great cow. She would have to be PHAF though. I don't know why they can't test and put info of their status? It seems to me it would only be good business.

I like your show heifer pick's, REM.

With it being slow in the lab they may not have gotten back.  Takes time to make a catalog and with on the sales going on around this time, they probably thought they needed to get them out.  Being a past board member (or maybe a current one I cann't remember)  I cann't imagine him not testing things.

I've got several recorded (at least I think they were) messages on my answering machine about the sale.  I bet if you called Fred, he'd talk to you and let you know the status if he has them.

Does Fancy Creek Farm BANGs vaccinate their heifers?  Also, does anyone know if they have had their herd tested for Johnes?...or at least the lots for the Rendezvous Sale?

Here in Montana, BVD is an issue...al sale lots are highly recommended to be ear notched and tested for negative results.
