Just wondering how much do you feed. I'm feeding 2 pounds in the morning and 2 pounds in the evening. Do I ever need to feed more than that? I started 60 days out from our show. (pop)

Feeding 2 lbs before cooking or after?  An 18 quart roaster 1/2 full of dry corn will make 4 gallons plus cooked corn.  How much you feed is dependent on the calf your are feeding.  I use cooked corn as about 1/3 the ration, some take a little more, some less.  Have pushed it to 1/2 in a pinch but had to watch for digestive problems and founder. Cold weather will take some stress off

After cooking. So I guess that isn't much. The calf I'm feeding needs a lot of fat. Very hot where I am and they are not wanting to eat much. So If I'm feeding 24 pounds of finisher I could work my way up to feeding 16 lbs of grain and 8 pounds of cooked corn? (pop)

We fight the heat here,  go to 3 times a day feeding,  the cooked corn can be spread over a screen frame and cool for the day and still be used,  taking the heat out of the ration will help a bunch.  Might give barley a try.  The old cooked soybean oil will also help,  golden flo or such.

I started putting it in the refrigerator After cooking it for a hour. Makes it room temp. They seem to like it better that way
