I posted earlier that I was having a bah humbug attitude towards Christmas. It's not the spiritual side, I know we are celebrating the birth of our Lord. Part of the problem is also the weather & ice that is preventing us from attending some of the Church services that I love.
It's more the commercial part. I just put up my nativity scene & hung my wooden wreath w/ a cow's head surrounding evergreens.
I did just get my presents wrapped but haven't mailed my gifts to my sister & her family in MD. They'll be really late!
I didn't bake a single cookie this year compared to 20 different ones last year. I am going to get my crescent rolls made for our family gathering.

I know I have so much to be thankful for especially w/ everything that happened this year. I wish everyone a Blessed Christmas & hope they have a safe trip if traveling.

Good to hear.  I had Christmas with my girlfriend's family this past weekend and had a great time.  Unfortunately, I may have caught the flu bug from her brother.

Merry Christmas Red! I know the commercialism can get us down sometimes but just try to keep your focus on Christ and his great gift for us! That is what I know you believe. My hope and prayer for you is that 2009 will turn out to be a more peaceful and blessed year than 2008.

Yea! my crescent rolls are rising as I speak!

Funny hubby story, I've made homemade rolls for years. I needed to get some made for a holiday & asked hubby if he could do something for me at that time. He asked why I couldn't do it & I told him I was making the rolls. He said big deal, all you do is bang that package & unroll them. Here he had thought for years that they came from Pillsbury! He's never lived that one down!!
