I just bought a show heifer shorthorn plus indian outlaw daughter at the holiday classic. She is pretty cool and the previous owners retained a flush. I also have a monopoly daughter that is a 2 year old. I want to flush these two but i honestly have no idea the cost. Could someone give me a good idea how much money i am looking at? They are both really nice especially the monopoly daughter.

About $1000/cow to flush.

I'll be the first of many to advise you to wait until the cow proves herself.

Good luck!

I'll be the second to say , let the heifers prove themselves first . It's not a good idea to flush a heifer in the first place .

No i didn't we bought the indian outlaw open heifer and a sunseaker daughter. I went there for 44a and that indian outlaw daughter. Was upset but i think we got a good deal on the indian outlaw.

the biggest cost is obtaining the recip/s and feeding them out per live calf. the rest including the semen and flushing is cheap.

probably the next biggest cost is ruining the female with too many drugs.

probably after that is flushing an older cow and getting too few eggs.

after that, its fraudulent partners.

flushing and semen will be the cheapest expense.

The indain outlaw was a nice heifer.  I bid on the walks alone, should have bid a couple more times... I thought she went cheap.  The lot 1 was a great looking heifer, surprisingly THF.
