I will be flushing one of my angus cows to Meyer. I have had the semen in the tank for years and have always wanted to do this. What type of cow does he need to be mated to? Thanks in advance!

I am planning on doing the same thing in the spring. I will be flushing an Angus cow that had a successful show career. The picture posted is of her at 15 years old. Will Meyer 734 work well on this type of cow?

JUST DO IT-HE WORKS ON LOTS OF BREEDS- as far as the cow pictured from the side with that long body and pretty long front if she was red or roan shed look just like a Shorthorn-he works gangbusters on them so he will work on her O0

From the book The Genetics of Cattle, 2nd addition it talks about the OLR1 gene that is responsible for lipid metabolism in Angus cattle.

If you are having trouble sleeping it is a good book to pull off the self.
