I thought the steer show was great. Dr. Shike sorted out the cattle effectively and gave each kid a fair look. Every champion and reserve looked the part. Also, it was beautiful weather throughout the show. If I was to change anything, Fort Worth needs to think about weighing all of the steers. I heard of some calves weighing out by over 100 pounds. Even so, my hats off to Fort Worth on a great job!

Wasn't there probably just picture but was champion borderline straight in front? I am sure there were many great steers there and I was told many make the premium auction.By the photos looked like standing room only even when the breeds were showing.Might be the best steer show in America due to numbers. We are lucky we live in a country where our youth and their families are allowed to set and achieve goals.

He doesn't mind one straighter than most judges these days.  He likes them stout and cool looking, and obviously doesn't mind little ones.  But he's pretty consistent and easy to follow.

The class that the grand champion came out of was amazing.  I believe it was class 10 of the exotics.  Several great calves but the top ten were amazing calves but I think he picked the right one.  The champions in the grand drive were all beautiful.  It was a very entertaining show and the place was packed.  We were fortunate to get a calf in the sale in class 2 of the exotics.  This is the second time we have sold at Fort Worth and they pay is great.  Great Show.
