I've only worked with the ones we had a the vet clinic where I used to work.  My impression is they are a good quality clipper that are easy to work-on/repair. But, there are others that run faster and are better for clipping calves in my opinion (Andis).  Unless the newer A5's have changed, I'd look for some Andis.  I eventually talked my boss into buying a couple of sets of refurbed Andis Super 2 Speeds and everyone in the clinic liked them better than the Oster.

The Oster A5 is durable, but the angles of the head and the general shape of the unit is harder to work with than a set of Andis.  We have some A5 for backup, but generally use the Andis because they are faster and more comfortable to use.

the clipper's worst enemy is dirt.  it dulls blades almost as fast as a chainsaw blade cutting roots in the dirt.  yes, i've done that.

the other worst enemy is heat.

Congrats on the purchase.  Really, if you are happy then ......will that is what matters!  ;)  If you see someone clipping with another set, ask them how they like them or just sit and watch them clip for a minute or two.  You might be able to see if those clippers would work for you just by watching.  Those clippers just might be the cats meow for you and the last pair you will ever want!  Either way, good luck and congrats again!
